all on or all off
i’ve essentially gotten 4 job offers this week for jobs that won’t do on their own but in the right combination, could be pretty sweet. the best and most important is at a private school where i’ll be running the technical aspects of their middle school and high school theatre productions and other various presentations. i think i’m supposed to head up the theatre tech club, too. fun! i’ll wait a few weeks before i pitch the improv club. (smiley)
a friend also suggested i could work at the juice bar that she has recently been hired to manage. i’m assuming hourly wage there. a writing gig i applied at a shopping web site is now hiring for people to write general informational stuff for $10-$30 per post depending on length. i figure doing those instead of this or other late night timewastery would be a good way to crawl out of debt. the fourth is for a rehearsal studio space that needs a front desk person for nighttime hours and weekends.
so, i’m hoping i can combine these into a delicious and lucrative slurry of labor.
VERY VERY excited about the trip the lady and i are planning for our spring break. (wow, that’s weird to have a spring break again…) it’s a two week trek up the west coast in a rented RV. its heavily discounted as a one-way rental so they can reposition their inventory and get units into repair, so they tell me some things might be wrong with it, like the fridge or the radio, i don’t know. they assure me they’re completely safe but may cosmetically leave something to be desired. the cool part is the sites, not the rig. redwoods, cliffs, seals, birds, portland, olympic national park, columbia river, monterey bay aquarium, beaches. all dat. might be a bit cold, but we can take it after this NYC crap.
i’m finally in a genuinely good mood for the first time in a while. recently, the good moods have been tinged with a foreboding cloud of debt and the eventual return to fret and fatigue. now it looks like i’ll climb out of that debt and ride the happy wave for a while.
